Job summary

Gah Hong Precision Sdn Bhd is seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our production team in Malaysia. You will set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines, read drawings, and conduct quality checks to ensure precision and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of hands-on CNC experience, can work independently, and is proficient with GD&T and CNC programming basics. Experience with FANUC/HAAS/OKUMA controllers is advantageous, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years hands-on experience in CNC Milling or CNC Turning.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Knowledge of CNC G-code, M-code, work offsets and tool compensation.
• Familiarity with cutting tools, machining parameters and precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with FANUC, HAAS, Brother or OKUMA controllers is an advantage.
• 4-axis/5-axis milling or turn-mill experience with live tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-, 4-, and 5-axis) independently.
• Perform workpiece clamping, fixture alignment, tool setting and offsets.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.
• Adjust cutting parameters and troubleshoot machining issues.

• Monitor processes and maintain machining accuracy and efficiency.

Job description

We are looking for skilled and experienced CNC Machinists to join our production team at Gah Hong Precision Sdn Bhd.

The successful candidates will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring precision machining, product quality and production efficiency. This role requires strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

CNC Milling (3-Axis, 4-Axis & 5-Axis)

Set up and operate CNC milling machines independently.

Perform workpiece clamping, fixture alignment, tool setting and work offsets.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.

Adjust cutting parameters, tool offsets and troubleshoot machining issues.

Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.

Ensure machining accuracy, surface finish and production efficiency.

CNC Turning / Turn-Mill

Set up and operate CNC lathe and turn-mill machines independently.

Perform machining operations such as OD/ID turning, threading, grooving, drilling and boring.

Carry out chuck and jaw setup, tool setting and offset adjustments.

Monitor machining processes and troubleshoot dimensional or tooling issues.

Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.

Ensure product quality, tool life and production efficiency.

Job Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in CNC Milling or CNC Turning.

Must be able to perform machine setup and operate CNC machines independently.

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.

Knowledge of CNC G-code, M-code, work offsets and tool compensation.

Familiar with cutting tools, machining parameters and precision measuring instruments.

Experience with FANUC, HAAS, Brother or OKUMA controllers is an advantage.

Experience in 4-axis / 5-axis milling or turn-mill with live tooling is an added advantage.

Good troubleshooting skills and ability to maintain machining accuracy.

Responsible, disciplined, quality‑conscious and able to work as a team.

Willing to work overtime when required.
