Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components per drawings and specs.
• Set up machines with tools, fixtures and workpieces.
• Monitor operations for accuracy and quality; adjust parameters as needed.
• Perform routine CNC maintenance including cleaning and lubrication.
• Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers and gauges.
• Read blueprints and specifications accurately and document production data.

About the role

SINTOOL ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a skilled CNC Milling operator to join our manufacturing team in Shah Alam, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our precision engineering operations. As a CNC Milling specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) milling machines to produce high-quality precision components that meet our clients' specifications. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and efficiency in the trades and services sector, specifically within precision machining and fitter operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications
• Set up machines, including installing cutting tools, fixtures and workpieces
• Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication and inspection for wear
• Conduct quality inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometres, callipers and gauges
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications accurately
• Adjust machine parameters such as speed, feed rate and depth of cut to optimise production
• Document production data, including quantities produced and any issues encountered
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report any significant problems to supervisors
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality standards

What we're looking for

• Proven experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machine operation
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints and CAD specifications
• Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control procedures
• Knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools and materials used in precision engineering
• Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate components
• Ability to work safely and follow health and safety guidelines in a workshop environment
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and work with precision equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications in CNC machining, mechanical engineering or related trades (preferred)
• Experience with specific CNC software or CAM systems (an advantage)
