Zenguard Risk Management in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Account Manager to develop and manage key client relationships, support onboarding, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver professional service. The role requires collaboration across markets and travel to regional sites as needed.
You will work closely with operations, sales and technical teams to ensure client obligations are fulfilled, identify opportunities for cross-selling, and maintain accurate client records in the CRM.
The Account Manager will play a key role in developing Zenguard’s client relationships, service capabilities and revenue opportunities. Working under the direction of senior management, the Account Manager will manage existing accounts, support new-client onboarding and coordinate with internal teams to ensure professional and efficient service delivery.
The role requires close collaboration with colleagues and clients across different markets and time zones. The Account Manager will ensure effective communication, consistent client management and alignment between Zenguard’s commercial, operational and technical teams.
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a high standard of customer service, ensure agreed service obligations are fulfilled and identify opportunities to strengthen client partnerships.
This role may also provide opportunities for business travel and regional exposure across Malaysia, China, South America, South Africa, Cyprus, Thailand and Singapore.
Managing and developing Zenguard’s existing client base is an important part of the company’s client retention and growth strategy.
The Account Manager will maintain regular communication with clients, understand their operational requirements and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. The role will also identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships and introduce additional Zenguard products or services.
The Account Manager will work closely with Zenguard’s operations, technical, sales, marketing and management teams to ensure all aspects of the client relationship—including onboarding, integrations, inquiries, service updates, contracts and account matters are handled professionally and efficiently.
Develop an in-depth understanding of assigned clients, including their business needs, key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Maintain regular and proactive communication with clients through meetings, calls, email, WhatsApp, Telegram and other communication channels.
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships while improving client satisfaction, engagement and retention.
Support the onboarding of new clients, including account setup, system integration, configuration support and service documentation.
Clearly explain Zenguard’s products, system configurations and related services to clients.
Coordinate with operations and technical teams to resolve client inquiries, integration issues and service requests.
Monitor outstanding client matters and ensure they are followed up and resolved within an appropriate timeframe.
Ensure agreed service requirements and contractual obligations are properly understood, monitored and fulfilled.
Manage client contracts and service records, identifying potential risks, renewal requirements and commercial opportunities.
Work with existing clients and senior stakeholders to identify cross-selling, regional expansion and additional service opportunities.
Coordinate with local and international colleagues to provide a consistent approach to account management and service delivery.
Collect, organise and communicate client requirements, feedback and recurring issues to relevant internal teams.
Prepare regular account management, client service and operational reports.
Monitor market developments, client demands and competitor capabilities to identify future business needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and account information within the company’s CRM or internal management systems.
Support regional sales and marketing initiatives and help implement relevant client engagement activities.
Handle client complaints, urgent matters and unexpected situations calmly, diplomatically and professionally.
Maintain effective communication with clients and colleagues working across different countries and time zones.
Participate in business travel, client meetings, industry events and other regional assignments when required.
Support ad hoc projects and other responsibilities assigned by senior management.
At least one year of experience in account management, relationship management, customer service or a related client-facing position.
Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues and senior stakeholders.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify potential business opportunities.
Proactive, solutions-focused and capable of managing client matters independently.
Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across different countries and time zones.
Strong presentation and meeting-management skills, including confidence when communicating with senior stakeholders and executives.
