Job summary

Talent Recruit represents a leading global heat shrink manufacturer expanding into Malaysia. We are seeking an on-site Civil Engineer to oversee construction progress, safety, and site discipline at the Pekan Nenas project in Johor.

You will coordinate with design consultants, manage drawings reviews, assist with approvals and handover, and prepare daily logs and monthly reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of on-site civil engineering management experience in Malaysia.
• Willingness to be based on site in Pekan Nenas, Johor.

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for on-site civil construction management, coordinating progress, quality, safety, cost, and site discipline, and resolving technical issues on site.
• Liaise with local design consultants, supervising consultants, and stakeholders to communicate technical solutions, coordinate drawing reviews, and manage construction coordination.
• Assist the Project Manager in the full process of project approvals, documentation submissions, government inspections, and handover upon completion.
• Review construction plans, work quantities, and site variation orders; supervise procedures and material inspection upon delivery.
• Prepare daily site logs, weekly and monthly reports, and project documentation, ensuring all records are complete and compliant.

We are representing our client a leading global heat shrink manufacturer providing electromechanical insulation solutions for Automotive, Electrical/Utility, Electronics and Communications sectors.

Our client is expanding their footprint into the Malaysian market with the construction of a new factory/facilities in Johor. To support this growth, they are seeking a dedicated on-site professional to oversee construction progress and manage overall site planning.

Site Location: Pekan Nenas, Johor

Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for on-site civil construction management, coordinating progress, quality, safety, cost, and site discipline, and resolving technical issues on site.
• Liaise with local design consultants, supervising consultants, and relevant stakeholders to efficiently communicate technical solutions, coordinate drawing reviews, and manage construction coordination.

Requirements

• Familiar with approval processes and completion inspection standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and stress management skills; high sense of responsibility and willingness to be based on site.
