Job summary

JW EcoBuilders Sdn Bhd invites a Diploma or Degree qualified Civil Engineer to join our on-site team for a major construction project in Malaysia. You will support the Project Manager/Director in planning, scheduling and coordinating works on site during the construction phase.

You must be registered with BEM, willing to travel or relocate, and bring 2–5 years (degree: 2–3; diploma: 3–5) of civil/structural experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Willing to travel/relocate according to project location.
• Diploma background: 3–5 years of civil/structural experience.
• Degree background: 2–3 years of civil/structural experience.
• Able to demonstrate competence in resolving site technical issues.
• Familiar with Malaysia's JKR Standard Specification, Standard Code of Practice & Regulations.
• Letter of commitment for this project is to be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Project Manager/Director in planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the works.
• Work closely with site personnel, provide direction and guidance to them in the implementation and completion of projects within the budgeted cost and delivery timeline.
• Ensure all works carried out in accordance to specifications, construction plan, procedures and work instruction.
• Handle technical and engineering problems.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and consultants to obtain approvals.
• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes, minimize environmental impact associated with construction activities.
• Attend and coordinate all site matters with various contractors, consultants and relevant authorities.
• Monitor progress of the construction site to meet targets of every stage of completion.
• Other duties as requested by Manager/Directors.

About you

Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering

Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)

Willing to travel/relocate according to the project location.

For candidates with Diploma background, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil and structural work.

For candidates with Degree background, a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in civil and structural work.

Able to demonstrate competence and confidence in resolving site technical issues.

Familiar with Malaysia's JKR Standard Specification, Standard Code of Practice & Regulations.
