Job summary

Broadcom in Malaysia, Penang is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead ramp-up of new facilities and qualification of contract manufacturing partners, ensuring smooth transition into mass production.

You will drive NPI to HVM transfers, oversee yields, line sustaining, and data-driven analysis using JMP, with strong remote leadership and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, production, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a highly technical engineering field.
• 10+ years of hands-on engineering and leadership in backend semiconductor/photonics manufacturing.
• Experience in leading remote teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Extensive expertise in yield improvement, problem-solving, and equipment qualification.
• Proficiency with JMP for advanced statistical data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead ramp-up of new facilities and ensure aggressive capacity scaling within project timelines.
• Onboard new CM partners, equipment, and processes for mass production.
• Drive product transfer from NPI to High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) and own floor-level issues.
• Monitor CM yields and drive improvement efforts.
• Resolve daily CM engineering, production and quality issues with corrective actions.
• Oversee product costing and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Perform data-driven analyses using JMP to support decisions.
• Conduct on-site quality audits and drive root-cause investigations with CMs.
