Job summary

IGREEN PLUS SOLUTION SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead operational strategy for its Malaysian EV charging business.

You will translate strategic objectives into practical plans, establish scalable operating models, and ensure cross-functional alignment across Commercial, Engineering, Projects and Finance. The role requires a strong background in operations leadership, multi-disciplinary teams, and a proven ability to scale a technology-enabled infrastructure

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and execution-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational strategy, execution, and scaling of our EV charging business in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the CEO / Managing Director, the COO will be responsible for translating the company's strategic direction into effective business execution across operations, project delivery, commercial coordination, financial performance, organisational development, and process improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and functional leaders to ensure that business objectives are converted into measurable results, projects are delivered effectively, operational standards are maintained, and the organisation is structured to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

Lead the overall operational strategy and execution of the company's EV charging business

Translate CEO / Board strategic objectives into actionable operational plans, priorities, KPIs, and timelines

Establish scalable operating models, processes, SOPs, reporting structures, and performance management systems

Ensure effective coordination across Commercial, Engineering, Projects, Operations, Finance, HR & Administration

Provide executive oversight of EV charging station deployment, installation, commissioning, handover, operations, and maintenance

Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, timeline, budget, quality, safety, and customer requirements

Monitor charging network operational performance, reliability, maintenance standards, and service quality

Work closely with the commercial team to ensure sales commitments and customer requirements can be operationally delivered

Work closely with the CEO and Finance team on annual budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and financial planning

Lead and develop department heads, managers, and key operational personnel

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related discipline

Preferably 10+ years of progressive professional experience, including significant experience in senior management or operational leadership

Proven experience managing multi-functional teams and business operations

Experience in EV charging, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, energy, automotive, engineering, technology, construction, or project-based businesses will be highly advantageous

Strong track record in operations management, project delivery, business scaling, or organizational transformation

Strong financial and commercial understanding, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L, project costing, margin management, and resource planning

Demonstrated ability to establish business processes, KPIs, SOPs, governance frameworks, and management reporting systems

Experience managing senior-level relationships with customers, business partners, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders

Strong leadership, strategic thinking, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities
