Job summary

Charge+ seeks an experienced Project Manager/Asst. Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer to oversee end-to-end EV charging station delivery in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys for EV charging stations across sites in Malaysia.
• Prepare technical proposals and costings after site visits.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of stations.
• Coordinate with installation teams and contractors on schedules.
• Support PTW submissions and document compilation.
• Assist with maintenance and fault repairs of charging stations.

Job description

The Project Manager/Asst. Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer will oversee end-to-end project delivery — from site surveys and technical proposals to installation, testing, and maintenance of EV charging stations across condominiums, commercial, and industrial sites. This role will work closely with in-house installation team, utility providers, and regulatory bodies to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant deployment of charging solutions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site survey for EV charging stations in condominiums, commercial and industrial buildings across Malaysia, and provide technical proposal and costing after each visit
• Manage the installation of EV charging stations
• Coordinate with in-house installation team and contractors on the scheduling of installation and testing & commissioning
• Assist in the submission of documents for Permit to Work (PTW) and compilation of relevant documents
• Support the testing & commissioning of EV charging stations
• Perform repair and preventive maintenance of EV charging stations
• Support innovation and trial projects for new charging hardware and software systems

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management or project engineering. Prior experience in EV charging infrastructure is preferred but not a must.
• Experience in electrical installation environment and construction management.
• Good knowledge of low-voltage (LV) switchboard
• Working knowledge in the selection of breakers, cable sizing will be advantageous
• Competent in MS Office, MS PPT, AutoCAD
• Experience in electrical designing or 2D/3D technical plan software (i.e AutoCAD, GstarCAD) will be advantageous
• Possessing own transport is preferable but not a must
• Comfortable with being mobile i.e. travelling to different sites
