Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to lead financial operations, driving cash flow management, budgeting, reporting, and strategic planning to sustain growth. You will oversee annual budgets, strengthen governance, manage treasury, and partner with senior leaders across operations and manufacturing to optimize cost and capital investments.

The ideal candidate has 10-15 years in finance, CPA/ACCA/MIA or equivalent, and deep experience in manufacturing finance and ERP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA/CIMA is advantageous.
  • 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong expertise in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, internal controls, ERP, and cost accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s financial operations including cash flow management, investments, budgeting, reporting, and strategic financial planning.
  • Oversee annual operating, capital, and program budgets with accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, internal controls, and financial recording for healthy cash flow.
  • Develop and implement financial governance, systems, and processes to strengthen fiscal management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with national/local financial regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop budgets and financial insights for projects and grants.
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities and drive cost optimization and process improvements.
  • Lead risk management, evaluate liabilities, capital structure, and fundraising strategies for sustainability.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and present to executives and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and lead the finance team and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax laws.

  • Lead the company’s financial operations, including cash flow management, investments, insurance, budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning, while supporting organizational growth and talent planning.
  • Oversee the preparation and coordination of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial recording, reporting, and internal controls to maintain healthy cash flow and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement financial best practices, systems, and processes to strengthen governance, improve fiscal management, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and optimize workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable national and local financial regulations by monitoring legislative changes and implementing necessary policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop budget proposals, provide financial insights for projects, and ensure compliance with contractual and grant reporting requirements.
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities, analyze financial and operational performance, and recommend cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead enterprise risk management by evaluating financial liabilities, investments, capital structure, and fundraising strategies to support long-term business sustainability.
  • Monitor key financial and business performance indicators, implement corrective actions where necessary, and prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for executive management and stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team while overseeing financial systems and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s degree and/or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent is an advantage. MIA registration/eligibility where applicable.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, corporate finance, or related fields, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive management role.
  • Strong preference for experience in semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, precision engineering, or technology manufacturing, particularly in complex and capital-intensive environments.
  • Strong expertise in financial management, corporate finance, management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, risk management, cost management, internal controls, ERP and financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance, including product and standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, CAPEX/OPEX, working capital, cost optimisation, and production performance.
  • Proven experience in capacity expansion, capital investment, financial modelling, business planning, and strategic decision-making within manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, technology investment cycles, supply chain operations, production planning, and key cost drivers is an advantage.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience in building and developing high-performing finance teams and collaborating across operations, engineering, procurement, supply chain, and commercial functions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial and business information to senior management, the Board, investors, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, strategic planning, risk management, and profitability improvement capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian taxation, applicable laws and regulations, corporate governance, and Bursa Malaysia requirements.
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, ethical conduct, transparency, accountability, and compliance within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
