Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION YANGTZE RIVER (M) SDN. BHD. seeks a Finance Clerk to handle cash receipts, bank deposits and daily journals in line with Malaysia's financial regulations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to the finance manager.

You will assist in opening/closing bank accounts, coordinate with banks and auditors during monthly closings, and process expense reimbursements and salary disbursements. Bilingual Chinese/English with Malay ability is required; experience in Malaysian finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields from a full-time university.
• Familiar with Malaysian financial regulations, tax policies, and bank settlement procedures; proficient in cash management and document processing.
• Skilled in using financial software and office software (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Experience in a cashier or related financial position; experience in financial work in a Malaysian company preferred.
• Fluent in Chinese and English; good Malay communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strictly adhere to financial regulations when handling cash receipts and payments and bank settlements.
• Maintain cash and bank deposit journals, reconcile accounts daily, and prepare daily financial statements.
• Assist finance manager with opening/closing bank accounts and liaising with banks.
• Cooperate with finance team to complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closing; assist in audits.
• Handle expense reimbursements, project payments, and salary disbursements.
• Complete other finance-related tasks assigned by superiors.

Job description

Strictly adhere to the company's financial regulations and local Malaysia financial laws when handling cash receipts and payments and bank settlements, ensuring the accuracy and legality of funds.

Promptly maintain cash and bank deposit journals, recording each transaction, reconciling accounts daily to ensure daily and monthly reconciliation, and preparing daily financial statements on time.

Assist the finance manager in opening, closing, and maintaining bank accounts, communicating with banks promptly to handle various banking issues such as receipt retrieval and reconciliation.

Cooperate with the finance team to complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing work, providing relevant financial data and materials to the cashier, and assisting in financial audits.

Responsible for expense reimbursements, project payments, and salary disbursements.

Complete other finance-related tasks assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields from a full-time university.

Professional Requirements: Familiar with Malaysian financial regulations, tax policies, and bank settlement procedures; proficient in cash management and document processing; skilled in using financial software and office software (Excel, Word, etc.).

Experience Requirements: Experience in a cashier or related financial position; experience in financial work in a Malaysian company is preferred.

Language Requirements: Fluent in spoken and written communication in both Chinese and English; good Malay communication skills.
