Benchmark Electronics is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Specialist in Penang to develop and administer C&B programmes, ensuring compliance with local regulations. You will support data analysis, market surveys, and benchmarking reports to inform salary reviews and pay progression.
The role collaborates with payroll and finance to implement decisions and benefits payments, assists in updating policies, and helps communicate plans to employees through sessions and materials.
Assist in the development and administration of compensation and benefits programmes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and best practices
Support the preparation and analysis of compensation data, market surveys, and benchmarking reports to inform salary review cycles and pay progression decisions
Maintain accurate records of employee benefits enrolment, entitlements, and claims processing
Respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation, benefits, and related policies, providing clear and timely guidance
Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate implementation of compensation decisions and benefit payments
Support the organization of benefits communication sessions, webinars, and informational materials to promote employee awareness and engagement
Assist in the review and updating of C&B policies and procedures to reflect organizational changes and regulatory requirements
Contribute to ad hoc HR projects and initiatives as required, supporting the broader HR function and business needs
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline
Entry to mid-level experience in compensation and benefits administration or a similar HR function
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation, benefits schemes, and regulatory requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling sensitive employee and financial information
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex compensation concepts clearly to employees at all levels
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst managing competing priorities effectively
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying process improvements
Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) or payroll software is advantageous
Relevant professional certifications such as CIPD or equivalent HR qualifications are desirable but not essential
