Job summary

Benchmark Electronics is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Specialist in Penang to develop and administer C&B programmes, ensuring compliance with local regulations. You will support data analysis, market surveys, and benchmarking reports to inform salary reviews and pay progression.

The role collaborates with payroll and finance to implement decisions and benefits payments, assists in updating policies, and helps communicate plans to employees through sessions and materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline
• Experience in compensation & benefits administration or similar HR function
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation, benefits schemes, and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
• Attention to detail and accuracy when handling sensitive information
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain compensation concepts clearly
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team while managing priorities
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to suggest process improvements
• Familiarity with HRIS or payroll software is advantageous
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPD) desirable but not essential

• Assist in developing and administering compensation and benefits programmes
• Support preparation and analysis of compensation data, market surveys, and benchmarking reports
• Maintain records of benefits enrolment, entitlements, and claims processing
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits
• Collaborate with payroll and finance to implement compensation decisions and benefit payments
• Support organization of benefits communication sessions and materials
• Assist in reviewing and updating C&B policies and procedures
• Contribute to ad hoc HR projects and initiatives
