Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Allstaff Sdn Bhd is seeking a Buyer with fresh graduates up to 2 years’ experience in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will manage PO/PR/SO/Supplier orders to ensure timely processing and delivery.

Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse, logistics, production and internal teams to ensure on-time shipments and resolve order-related issues, while monitoring discrepancies and supporting inventory management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics or related discipline.
• Fresh graduates welcome; candidates with 2–3 years experience encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Good logical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Positive working attitude, willing to learn and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders, purchase requisitions, sales orders and supplier orders to ensure timely processing and delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse, logistics, production and internal teams to ensure timely shipment and resolve order-related issues.
• Monitor and resolve material, shipment, invoice and purchase order discrepancies.
• Follow up on urgent shipments, shortages, backorders and delivery schedules.
• Support inventory management and monitor stock levels to meet business requirements.
• Handle defective material returns and follow up on return cases until closure.
• Assist with pricing activities, cost analysis, price negotiation and cost-saving initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance and work with suppliers to improve delivery and fulfillment.
• Prepare purchasing, inventory, shipment and shortage reports.
• Support new product and engineering projects by coordinating material sourcing and supplier follow-up.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve purchasing, inventory and shipment-related issues.
• Perform other purchasing and supply chain activities as assigned.
