Job summary

Mazda in Shah Alam, Malaysia, seeks a fresh graduate to join our Purchasing & Supply Chain team. You will support sourcing activities for localization projects, manage RFQ processes, and assist with cost analyses and the preparation of LOI/LOA/S&P.

We welcome Diploma holders and fresh graduates with strong analytical and negotiation skills to secure favorable supplier deals and ensure cost control across activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in purchasing, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing activities for new localization projects, including supplier selection and evaluation.
• Manage RFQ activities, including cost analysis, feasibility studies, and preparation/issuance of LOI, LOA, and S&P.
• Verify and maintain cost control data, including cost monitoring, price database prep, forex updates, and local content.
• Conduct periodic cost improvement activities (VAVE) and cost assurance visits to suppliers.
• Support supplier management activities, including supplier performance reviews and information updates.
• Manage and coordinate the price database and tooling amortization summaries.

Job description

• Support sourcing activities for new localization projects, including supplier selection and evaluation.
• Manage Request for Quotation (RFQ) activities, including cost analysis, feasibility studies, and preparation and issuance of commercial documents such as LOI, LOA, and S&P.
• Verify and maintain cost control data, including cost monitoring, price database preparation, periodic foreign exchange (forex) updates, and local content and amortization status.
• Conduct periodic cost improvement activities for mass production, including Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives and cost assurance visits to suppliers.
• Support supplier management activities, including supplier performance reviews, asset tagging and monitoring, and supplier information updates.
• Manage and coordinate the price database and tooling amortization summaries.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or any other related fields.
• Diploma holders are encouraged to apply.
