We are looking for an experienced and hands-on SOP & Process Improvement Consultant to join our company on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The main purpose of this role is to review, develop, standardise and improve the company's SOPs, workflow, reporting systems, KPIs and operational processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director, General Manager and Department Heads to identify gaps, implement practical improvements and establish a more systematic and accountable working environment.
Review and assess existing company SOPs and work procedures, identify missing, outdated or ineffective SOPs, and develop clear and practical SOPs for different departments.
Standardise work processes across departments and establish clear responsibilities, approval processes and reporting procedures.
Create supporting checklists, forms, guidelines and workflow documents where required.
Review current business processes and identify inefficiencies, duplicated work, unnecessary steps and operational gaps.
Recommend and implement more efficient workflows and improve coordination and handover between departments.
Review existing departmental KPIs and recommend suitable KPIs for different positions and departments.
Establish clear performance measurement and reporting systems and improve daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
Conduct training and briefing sessions for employees on new or revised SOPs and monitor implementation after training.
Conduct periodic reviews to ensure SOP compliance and work with department heads to address recurring process issues.
Work with HR, Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, Production, Finance and other departments to improve workflow and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce unnecessary costs.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, Process Management or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience.
At least 3–5 years of experience in management, business process improvement, operations or consultancy.
Proven experience in developing, implementing and improving SOPs.
Strong understanding of business processes, workflow and internal controls.
Experience in developing and monitoring KPIs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent documentation and report-writing skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Sheets and documentation systems.
Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
