Hiring : Business Development & Sales Executive
Sales | Business Development | Partnerships | Business Growth
Company: Faith Fishing Charter Sdn Bhd
Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Faith Fishing Charter Sdn Bhd is a Kota Kinabalu-based premium marine tourism company specialising in private fishing experiences, luxury catamaran outings and customised marine tourism experiences.
We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded and action-oriented Business Development & Sales Executive to work directly with the Founder/Director to drive the company’s sales and business growth.
This is not purely a social-media or marketing position focused on posting content.
Your primary objective is clear:
Generate leads. Convert customers. Develop new sales channels. Grow company revenue.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of results — not someone who simply waits for enquiries or instructions.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Handle and convert enquiries from Xiaohongshu (小红书), WeChat, WhatsApp, Ctrip/Trip.com, Feizhu, Klook and other sales channels.
- Prepare quotations and follow up systematically until enquiries are converted or closed.
- Proactively follow up with potential customers instead of waiting for them to return.
- Build relationships with previous customers to generate referrals and repeat business.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and increase booking value where appropriate.
- Work towards agreed monthly sales, conversion and revenue targets.
Business Development
- Identify, approach and develop new travel agents, tour companies, hotels, concierges, and strategic partners.
- Develop new China-market and international distribution channels.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with agents and business partners.
- Explore corporate, private-group, premium tourism and other new business opportunities.
- Continuously identify and execute new ways for the company to acquire customers and increase revenue.
Marketing & Growth
- Assist in planning sales campaigns, promotions and customer-acquisition strategies.
- Develop marketing ideas and content suitable for Xiaohongshu, Douyin and other relevant platforms.
- Use customer feedback and sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work directly with management to improve products, packages, positioning, sales processes and customer-acquisition strategies.
Who We Are Looking For
- Communicate confidently in Mandarn with customers and business partners.
- Are naturally persuasive and comfortable speaking with customers.
- Have a strong sense of urgency and execution.
- Are proactive and do not need to be told what to do at every step.
- Enjoy sales, negotiation, networking and building relationships.
- Are comfortable being measured by sales results, revenue and KPIs.
- Can follow up persistently and systematically without constant supervision.
- Are commercially curious and naturally think about how a business can acquire more customers and grow.
- Are willing to test new ideas, learn from results and improve quickly.
- Want your income and career progression to increase together with the results you produce.
Experience in tourism, hospitality, luxury products/services, travel agencies, sales, business development or digital marketing is an advantage.
However, attitude, initiative, execution, commercial thinking and ability to produce results matter more to us than job titles.
- Basic Salary: RM2,800–RM3,600
- EPF & SOCSO
- Monthly Business Growth Bonus
- Performance-based career progression
Strong performers may progress through: Senior Business Development Executive → Business Development Manager → Head of Business Development
We believe people who create greater value for the company should have the opportunity to earn more.
High performers have the opportunity to earn RM6,000–RM10,000+ per month through salary, commission and performance incentives.
This Position May NOT Be Suitable For You If:
- You are primarily looking for a comfortable fixed salary regardless of results.
- You dislike sales targets, revenue targets or performance KPIs.
- You prefer waiting for instructions rather than taking initiative.
- You consider marketing to be mainly posting content on social media.
- You are uncomfortable following up repeatedly with potential customers.
- You are uncomfortable asking customers for the sale or closing a deal.
- You prefer maintaining existing work rather than actively looking for new business opportunities.
