Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Ground & Rail Business Development Manager. You will drive growth, expand the customer portfolio, and deliver tailored logistics solutions across domestic distribution and cross-border transportation.

Responsibilities include managing the full sales cycle, developing a healthy pipeline, and collaborating with Operations, Pricing and Product teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales or logistics.
• Proven track record in acquiring new business and managing key accounts.
• Experience in Ground Transportation or cross-border logistics preferred.
• Strong consultative selling and contract negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth across Ground & Rail logistics in Malaysia.
• Identify and secure new cross-border trucking and domestic distribution opportunities.
• Promote Ground & Rail services including FTL, LTL, Milk Run, Last-Mile.
• Build relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.

• Forecast and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to hit targets.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Ground & Rail Business Development Manager to join our commercial team. This role is responsible for driving business growth, expanding our customer portfolio, and delivering tailored logistics solutions across domestic distribution and cross-border transportation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Ground & Rail Business Development Manager, you will:

• Drive business growth across the Ground & Rail logistics segment in Malaysia.
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in cross-border trucking, domestic distribution, and integrated ground transportation solutions.
• Promote CEVA's Ground & Rail services, including Full Truck Load (FTL), Less Than Truck Load (LTL), Milk Run, and Last-Mile Delivery solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and solution design to contract negotiation and account implementation.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting to achieve sales and gross margin targets.
• Prepare and present customized logistics solutions that meet customer business requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Pricing, Product Management, Trade Lane Teams, and Customer Service to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop effective commercial strategies.
• Drive customer retention, account growth, and long-term business partnerships.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Proven track record in acquiring new business and managing key customer accounts.
• Experience in Ground Transportation, Cross-Border Trucking, Domestic Distribution, or Freight Forwarding is highly preferred.
• Experience in solution selling and contract negotiations.
• Strong business development and consultative selling skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities.
• Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs and develop value-added logistics solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of integrated logistics and supply chain solutions.
• Experience managing cross-border logistics operations within Southeast Asia.
• Established network within the logistics, manufacturing, retail, automotive, or industrial sectors.
• Additional language proficiency will be an added advantage.
