Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Malaysia is seeking a Ground & Rail Business Development Manager to drive growth across domestic distribution and cross-border transportation. You will identify opportunities, design solutions, and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution.

You will build strong customer relationships, forecast pipeline, collaborate with Operations, Pricing, and Trade Lane teams, and contribute to strategic commercial plans while expanding CEVA's Ground & Rail

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Business Development, Sales, Freight Forwarding, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Proven track record in acquiring new business and managing key customer accounts.
• Experience in Ground Transportation, Cross-Border Trucking or Freight Forwarding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth across Ground & Rail logistics in Malaysia.
• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities in cross-border trucking and domestic distribution.
• Promote CEVA's Ground & Rail services including FTL, LTL, Milk Run and Last-Mile.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Ground & Rail Business Development Manager to join our commercial team. This role is responsible for driving business growth, expanding our customer portfolio, and delivering tailored logistics solutions across domestic distribution and cross-border transportation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Ground & Rail Business Development Manager, you will:

• Drive business growth across the Ground & Rail logistics segment in Malaysia.
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in cross-border trucking, domestic distribution, and integrated ground transportation solutions.
• Promote CEVA's Ground & Rail services, including Full Truck Load (FTL), Less Than Truck Load (LTL), Milk Run, and Last-Mile Delivery solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and solution design to contract negotiation and account implementation.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting to achieve sales and gross margin targets.
• Prepare and present customized logistics solutions that meet customer business requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Pricing, Product Management, Trade Lane Teams, and Customer Service to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop effective commercial strategies.
• Drive customer retention, account growth, and long-term business partnerships.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Proven track record in acquiring new business and managing key customer accounts.
• Experience in Ground Transportation, Cross-Border Trucking, Domestic Distribution, or Freight Forwarding is highly preferred.
• Experience in solution selling and contract negotiations.

• Additional language proficiency will be an added advantage.
