Job summary

James King Group in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Business Development & Client Relations Executive to support client relationships, proposals, and cross-border opportunities, with occasional travel to Singapore. You will partner with the Business Development Manager to manage follow-ups, meetings, and sales planning.

The role involves coordinating meetings, preparing client documentation, and conducting market research to identify opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or diploma in a relevant field with strong communication skills.
• Experience in sales support, admin, customer service, or business development is advantageous.
• Ability to write clearly and speak confidently with clients and stakeholders in English.
• Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage client follow-ups, meeting coordination, and sales planning activities.
• Prepare polished proposals, quotations, and client-facing documentation.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and track industry trends.
• Coordinate and support meetings, client presentations, and site visits, including Singapore engagements.
• Act as a liaison between Business Development, Design, and Project teams to ensure compelling proposals.
• Support the broader business development pipeline across Kuala Lumpur and Singapore operations.

You'll partner with the Business Development Manager to manage client follow-ups, meeting coordination, and sales planning activities, ensuring no opportunity falls through the cracks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client follow-ups, meeting coordination, and sales planning activities
• Prepare polished proposals, quotations, and client-facing documentation
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and track industry trends
• Coordinate and support meetings, client presentations, and site visits — including engagements with clients in Singapore when required
• Act as a key liaison between the Business Development, Design, and Project teams to ensure client proposals are accurate, competitive, and compelling
• Support the broader business development pipeline across Kuala Lumpur and Singapore operations

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Construction Management, or any related discipline
• Prior experience in sales support, admin, customer service, or business development is an advantage
• Strong communication skills in English — able to write clearly and speak confidently with clients and stakeholders
• Mandarin language proficiency is an added advantage
• Natural organizer — you plan ahead, follow through, and keep things running smoothly
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); any CRM experience is a bonus
• Comfortable with occasional travel to Singapore as business requires
