TMC Metal (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Business Development Senior Executive/Asst Manager to drive growth, secure corporate clients, and manage critical commercial partnerships. The Business Development Senior Executive/Asst Manager is a key commercial position responsible for driving corporate growth, securing company clients, and maintaining critical commercial partnerships with strategic stakeholders and downstream subcontractors. This role demands a commercially sharp, resilient professional who can effortlessly navigate complex corporate client ecosystems, independently organize high-stakes client meetings, and confidently lead follow-up operational alignments and commercial contract negotiations.
Key responsibilities
Proactively identify, target, and secure large-scale industrial scrap and waste management contracts from Tier-1 multi-national corporations (MNCs), with an emphasis on the semiconductor, precision electronics, E-waste, and advanced manufacturing sectors
Discover and convert new B2B opportunities by constantly focusing on following up semiconductor manufacturing tender timeline
Pitch technical competencies and corporate profile, emphasizing strict environmental certifications and secure Intellectual Property (IP) asset destruction protocols
Formulate, evaluate, and negotiate comprehensive commercial quotations, pricing matrix sheets, and corporate service contracts
Architect and manage strategic, multi-party pricing models involving the corporate client, assigned logistics handlers, and downstream processors to maintain and maximize company profitability margins
Act as the trusted, senior commercial point-of-contact for corporate client stakeholders and core downstream recycling subcontractors
Seamlessly bridge communications between external client stakeholders and internal project/operations teams to guarantee clean, uncompromised execution and strategic project alignment
Proactively manage vendor relationships, quickly identifying and professionally resolving business misalignments or operational service escalations to safeguard critical corporate partnerships
Continuously monitor regional and national industrial waste trends, global metal commodity pricing metrics, and competitor movements within the Malaysia semiconductors' recycling industries
Organize and chair high-level corporate and operational alignment meetings, assemble data-driven management reports/presentations, record exhaustive meeting minutes, and rigorously drive action items to completion
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a technically equivalent qualification
4-5 years of outside sales, account management, or business development experience
Experience in reviewing, drafting, and validating complex corporate quotations and contracts
Basic knowledge of E-waste classifications, industrial metal pricing, and global/local environmental compliance standards
Strong, assertive, and polished interpersonal communication skills with psychological resilience and diplomacy needed to deal with challenging B2B stakeholders and subcontractors
Clear awareness of corporate P&C governance, with the personal discipline to isolate sensitive client pricing models securely inside corporate data servers
Business-level fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken)
Must possess personal transport and a valid driver's license, with full willingness to travel regularly to various industrial parks and client premises across the Northern region
