Job summary

SPEED (SPEED2U) seeks a senior Business Analyst to lead AI opportunity identification, build business cases, and govern requirements for AI/automation initiatives.

You will run discovery sessions, capture BRD/FRS/UAT, drive data readiness, support solution design, testing, and change enablement, while embedding privacy, security and governance throughout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum, product management, data analytics, cloud or AI are a plus.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Business Solutions, Tech, Product Delivery, digital transformation or related areas, at supervisory level.
• Experience leading complex requirements and SDLC activities using Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid delivery methods.
• Experience drafting BRDs, FRs, SRS, process flows, acceptance criteria and UAT documentation for technical teams.
• Experience supporting AI, ML, generative AI, data analytics, automation or AI-enabled projects is preferred.
• Experience engaging external clients, Government agencies, or GLCs is an advantage.
• Experience in a technology vendor environment is beneficial.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Power BI, Jira, Confluence or similar tools.

AI Opportunity Identification & Business Case Development

• Engage business units and external clients to understand business challenges, processes, pain points and desired outcomes, and identify opportunities suitable for AI, automation or advanced analytics.
• Assess and prioritise AI use cases based on strategic alignment, business value, feasibility, operational requirements, data availability, risk, cost and implementation effort.
• Develop business cases, options analyses, benefit estimates, assumptions and recommendations for client and Management decision-making.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, observation sessions and document reviews to identify operational objectives and elicit, validate and prioritise business, user, data, integration, security and reporting requirements.
• Own the quality and completeness of Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), current-state and future-state process flows, business rules, user journeys, use cases, user stories, product backlogs, acceptance criteria and requirements traceability.
• Lead requirement analysis and detailed impact assessments for Change Requests, identify dependencies, gaps and risks, and recommend practical solution options while maintaining alignment with approved business outcomes.

AI Solution Analysis & Data Readiness

• Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements for scalable AI-enabled business, financial and operational systems, intelligent automation, predictive analytics or generative AI solutions.
• Work closely with solution architects, AI engineers, software developers, data teams and project teams to shape solution design, translate requirements into appropriate technical solutions and assess data and operational readiness.
• Support solution proposals, demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities and client presentations, and evaluate whether proposed outputs, controls and human-review requirements are scalable and fit for the intended business purpose.

Delivery Support, Validation & Acceptance

• Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, clients and technical teams throughout planning, design, development, testing, implementation and post-implementation review.
• Lead or support prototyping, backlog refinement, solution demonstrations, UAT planning, test scenarios, defect clarification and prioritisation, business acceptance and sign-off.
• Oversee the preparation of user manuals, operating procedures and training materials, and verify that delivered capabilities meet agreed requirements, usability expectations, control standards and business acceptance criteria.
• Embed privacy, security, ethical use, transparency, explainability, fairness, human oversight and regulatory considerations into requirements and solution assessments.
• Ensure end-to-end documentation governance by maintaining requirements, decisions, assumptions, risks, dependencies, controls, approvals and system development artefacts in accordance with company standards and best practices.
• Escalate material data, model, operational, delivery or adoption risks and coordinate agreed mitigation actions with accountable stakeholders.

Change Enablement, Benefits & Performance

• Proactively analyse existing systems and processes, identify gaps and recommend enhancements, including AI, automation and digitalisation opportunities.
• Assess process, role and capability impacts and oversee communication, training, operating procedures and adoption plans for affected users.
• Define baseline measures and success metrics, monitor post-implementation outcomes and recommend enhancements based on user feedback, business performance and evolving requirements.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Facilitate cross-functional alignment, manage stakeholder expectations and provide structured weekly updates on project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, recommendations and decisions to stakeholders and Management.
• Set and uphold business analysis standards, review the quality of team deliverables, and mentor and guide junior Business Analysts to ensure consistency in analysis and documentation practices.
• Maintain current knowledge of business analysis practices, relevant industries, AI and emerging technologies, and drive the adoption of appropriate methods, tools and continuous improvement within the team.

Other Responsibilities

• Perform other related duties assigned by the Reporting Officer or Management from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
• Relevant certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum, product management, data analytics, cloud or AI will be an added advantage.
• At least 7–10 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Business Solutions, Technology, Product Delivery, digital transformation or related areas, with exposure at a supervisory or managerial level.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex requirements and stakeholder engagement across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), using Agile, Waterfall and/or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience preparing BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria and UAT documentation, with a strong ability to translate complex business needs into clear and actionable requirements for technical teams.
• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, generative AI, data analytics, automation or AI-enabled business solution projects is preferred.
• Experience engaging external clients, Government agencies and/or Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) will be an added advantage.
• Experience in a technology vendor, software house or solutions provider environment will be an advantage.
• Proficiency with requirements and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, Power BI, Jira, Confluence or equivalent platforms.
