Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kuching, Sarawak is seeking a full-time Building Executive to manage day-to-day operations of commercial properties and ensure tenants' expectations are met.

You will oversee maintenance, liaise with service providers, lead a building support team, monitor budgets, and report on performance with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in building/facilities management.

About the role

Join the growing team at our company as a full-time Building Executive based in Kuching, Sarawak. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of one or more commercial properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and exceed the expectations of our valued tenants.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the property, including coordinating with service providers and contractors
• Manage tenant relations, respond promptly to inquiries and address any concerns or issues that arise
• Supervise a team of building support staff, providing leadership, training and performance management
• Ensure the property adheres to all relevant health, safety and compliance regulations
• Prepare and monitor budgets for maintenance, repairs and other operational expenditures
• Liaise with owners and management to implement strategic improvements and implement new initiatives
• Maintain detailed records and prepare regular reports on the property's performance

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar building/facilities management role, preferably in the residential/commercial sector
• Strong knowledge of building operations, maintenance and compliance requirements and familiar with Strata Management Act (SMA) and Strata Management Ordinance (SMO)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with tenants, contractors and the management team
• Proficient in using property management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve and make decisions independently
• Enthusiastic, detail-oriented and committed to providing exceptional customer service
