Job summary

United Parcel Service, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Brokerage Officer to coordinate and monitor import and export customs clearance activities, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.

You will liaise with customers, government authorities, carriers, and internal teams, track status, prepare reports, and support continuous improvement to enhance operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This is a permanent, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Customs Brokerage
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily import and export customs clearance activities.
• Liaise with customers, Customs authorities, government agencies, carriers, and internal teams on clearance-related matters.
• Track shipment status and follow up on pending clearances, permits, and operational exceptions.
• Ensure timely submission of customs-related documents and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve shipment, clearance, and documentation issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare operational reports, shipment status updates, and other business correspondence.
• Maintain accurate records and filing of customs documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders via email, telephone, and meetings.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
