Job summary

Semtech is seeking a Document Control Specialist in Malaysia to support engineering and manufacturing by maintaining robust document control and BOM accuracy within the PLM environment. The role ensures controlled documents meet quality and regulatory standards and aligns engineering drawings with part records.

Qualifications

• AS or related technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Drafting experience using Autodesk/AutoCAD or related software preferred.
• Experience processing ECOs/ECRs and related change control documentation.
• Hands-on BOM maintenance in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Experience with PLM and/or ERP systems for part number management, BOM maintenance, and document control workflows.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain Lead frame Bonding Diagrams, POD drawings, and BOM structures within the PLM system.
• Link engineering drawings, specifications, Gerber files and supporting documents to part records and BOM levels in PLM/ERP.
• Manage document revision control processes: updates, approvals, releases in line with change control procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve document control workflows and PLM data management practices.
