Job summary

IOI OLEOCHEMICAL INDUSTRIES BERHAD (29994-D) in Prai, Penang, seeks a Boiler Operator to plan, control and monitor MPB and HPB operations and the boiler water treatment system, ensuring compliance with SOPs, WI and POM.

The role supports engineers, follows duty rosters and participates in annual shut-downs, with a DOSH‑certified Boilerman certificate required and opportunities for career growth within the IOI Group.

Job description

To plan, control and monitor operation of Medium Pressure Boiler, High Pressure Boiler and Boiler Water Treatment Plant according to system provided.

To confirm the job nature of assigned daily routine job.

To follow the duty roster and daily routine jobs .

To assist Engineer to update new equipment specification into system.

To check and monitor operation condition of boilers such as working pressure, water level, chemical treatment, blow down sequences, flue gas temperature, pump pressure and etc. according to relevant SOP, WI and POM.

To check and monitor operation condition of air compressors and air dryer such as working pressure, temperature, auto condensate blow down and etc. according to relevant SOP, WI and POM.

To check and monitor operation condition of boiler water treatment plant such as generation of softwater and Demin Water, qualities of softwater and Demin water, PBI water qualities and level, thermal-dearator, chemical inventory, ion exchanger condition, condensate return condition, boiler feed water qualities, boiler water analysis and etc. according to relevant SOP, WI and POM

To assist Engineer for investigate and troubleshooting failures of boilers, air compressors, water treatment plant and Thermal-dearator.

To assist Boiler Shift Leader to carry out Annual Shut Down Maintenance of MPBs and HPBs and meet to completion time line.

To ensure all relevant jobs carried out are comply with company QMS system

Undertake such other duties as instructed by Superior from time to time.
