Job summary

SARAWAK OIL PALMS BERHAD is seeking a skilled Boilerman to operate and monitor steam boilers in our palm oil mill facility in Sarawak.

The ideal candidate holds Grade 1 or 2 Boilerman Competency Steam Engine certificate (DOSH), has at least 5 years' boiler-operations experience, is physically fit, and willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays, in remote locations.

Qualifications

• Grade 1 or 2 Boilerman Competency Steam Engine certificate from DOSH is required.
• At least 5 years of operating steam boilers experience, preferably in a palm oil mill environment.
• Physically fit and capable of working in high-temperature conditions and remote/rural locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor steam boilers and related auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure boiler room processes are maintained at optimal production, efficiency and safety levels.
• Conduct daily checks, inspections and regular maintenance on boiler systems and other critical equipment.
• Monitor boiler water levels, fuel usage, combustion ratio and pressure.
• Report abnormalities or hazards to the Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate daily logbooks, records and reports.
