Job summary

Jora Malaysia is hiring a Boilerman to safely operate and monitor steam boilers in our Johor manufacturing facility. You will follow SOPs, handle shift rotations, and ensure reliable uptime.

Responsibilities include daily operations, water treatment, preventive maintenance, and compliance with DOSH inspections. The role requires 2–3 years of boiler experience and a valid Boilerman competency certificate.

Qualifications

• Valid Boilerman Grade 1 or 2 Certificate of Competency issued by DOSH (JKKP)
• SPM or Technical Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plant Engineering
• 2–3 years of boiler operation experience in manufacturing/factory environments
• Strong understanding of boiler mechanical systems, water treatment processes, and safety protocols
• Willingness to work shift rotations and overtime as required

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and shut down steam boilers and related equipment according to SOPs
• Maintain hourly rounds to track steam pressure, temperature, water levels, and fuel consumption
• Perform regular water testing, chemical dosing, and boiler blowdowns
• Conduct routine maintenance, identify leaks, and assist with preventive maintenance
• Maintain Boiler Log Book and prepare equipment for DOSH/JKKP inspections

• Daily Operations: Safely operate, monitor, and shut down steam boilers and related auxiliary equipment according to company SOPs.
• System Monitoring: Maintain hourly rounds to track steam pressure, temperature, water levels, and fuel consumption.
• Water Quality: Conduct regular water testing, feed chemical dosing, and execution of boiler blowdowns.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine servicing, identify minor leaks, and assist with preventive maintenance tasks to prevent downtime.
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain accurate records in the Boiler Log Book and prepare equipment for annual DOSH/JKKP statutory inspections.

Requirements:

• Certification: Must possess a valid Boilerman Grade 1 or Grade 2 Certificate of Competency issued by DOSH (JKKP).
• Education: Minimum SPM or a Technical Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plant Engineering.
• Experience: At least 2 to 3 years of working experience operating boilers in a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Skills: Strong understanding of boiler mechanical systems, water treatment processes, and safety protocols.
• Schedule: Willing to work in shift rotations and handle overtime when required.
