Job summary

Lee Fah Mee Sdn. Bhd is seeking a responsible Boilerman Grade 2 to join our team and ensure safe, efficient operation of our steam boiler system.

The successful candidate will monitor operating conditions, perform inspections, maintain water quality, troubleshoot basic issues, and keep logs while complying with DOSH/JKKP requirements and Company SOPs.

You will support production, handle start-up/shutdown, and work in a hot industrial environment; overtime and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Boilerman Grade 2 competency certificate recognized by DOSH/JKKP.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant boiler operation experience.
• Good knowledge of steam boiler operation and safety procedures.
• Able to read and understand boiler operating parameters.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and Public Holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the steam boiler system safely and efficiently.
• Carry out boiler start-up, normal operation and shutdown procedures according to approved SOPs.
• Monitor boiler operating parameters.
• Conduct pre-start inspections before operating the boiler.
• Start the boiler according to the approved operating procedure.
• Monitor pressure and temperature during start-up to ensure safe operation.
• Carry out proper boiler shutdown procedures.
• Ensure the boiler is safely isolated when shutdown or maintenance is required.
• Record boiler start-up and shutdown information in the relevant logbook.
• Operate the boiler in accordance with applicable DOSH/JKKP requirements and statutory safety regulations.
• Ensure the boiler is operated within the approved pressure and safety limits.
• Immediately report any unsafe condition or equipment malfunction.
• Conduct daily and routine inspections of the boiler and associated equipment.
• Follow the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Assist maintenance personnel during servicing, inspection and repair activities.
• Ensure reliable steam supply to support daily production requirements.
• Monitor steam demand and adjust boiler operation according to production requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring boiler operating conditions, carrying out routine inspections, maintaining boiler water quality, performing basic troubleshooting, maintaining accurate operating records and ensuring compliance with DOSH/JKKP requirements, safety regulations and Company SOPs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Boiler Operating & Monitoring

Operate and monitoring the steam boiler system safely and efficiently.

Carry out boiler start-up, normal operation and shutdown procedures according to approved SOPs.

Monitor Boiler operating parameters.

Boiler Start-UP & Shutdown

Conduct pre-start inspections before operating the boiler.

Start the boiler according to the approved operating procedure.

Monitor pressure and temperature during start-up to ensure safe operation

Carry out proper boiler shutdown procedures.

Ensure the boiler is safely isolated when shutdown or maintenance is required.

Record boiler start-up and shutdown information in the relevant logbook.

Safet & DOSH/JKKP Compliance

Operate the boiler in accordance with applicable DOSH/JKKP requirements and statutory safety regulations.

Ensure the boiler is operated within the approved pressure and safety limits.

Immediately report any unsafe condition or equipment malfunction.

Boiler Inspection & Preventive Maintenance

Conduct daily and routine inspections of the boiler and associated equipment.

Follow the preventive maintenance schedule.

Production Support

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work may involve a hot, noisy and industrial environment.

Required to wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Possess a valid Boilerman Grade 2 competency certificate recognized by DOSH/JKKP
