KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking personnel to manage laundry operations within a hospital environment, ensuring cleanliness, stock integrity, and adherence to QSHE standards. The role requires handling linen collection, washing, and distribution, with strict attention to safety and teamwork.
Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a related field, are willing to work shifts including weekends and public holidays, and will receive on-the-job training to support continuous improvement and safe
Understand the philosophy, objectives, policies and standards of the hospital and Nursing Services.
Adherent to the hospital policies and procedures.
Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room and linen store.
Maintain the cleanliness of the stocks and rearrange it neatly.
Collect dirty linen from the wards and various services and deliver it to the soiled linen holding area twice daily.
Check the number of linens taken for washing are counted and recorded.
Check and record the number of clean linens received from contractor.
Distributes clean laundry to the relevant area twice daily; according to the departmental par level.
Assists in inventory of linen and stock count.
Inspect all incoming and outgoing linen for cleanliness, damage, stains, tears, mould, or other defects.
Keep a record of non-conformance linen.
To wipe down linen storage areas in each ward before placing new stock.
Any other duties as directed by the Outsource In-charge.
Reporting unsafe practices, conditions, near misses, incidents and accidents to Chief Executive Officer and OSH and Environmental Committee.
Comply with QSHE Policy and Objective.
To take reasonable care for safety and health of herself and other people who may be affected by his/her acts or omission at work.
To co-operate with Management of KJSH in the discharge of any duty or requirement imposed on the QSHE Management System.
To comply with any instruction or measure on QSHE legal and requirement.
To establish and maintain the QSHE Management System.
To comply to KPJ National Six Patient Safety Goals.
To wear or use at all times any personal protective equipment (PPE) or clothing provided by the Management of KJSH for the purpose of preventing risks to his/her safety and health.
At least 1-year experience in related field.
Willingness to work on scheduled hours, shift, weekends and public holidays.
On the job training / in-service training will be provided.
Posses good communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Has the ability to improve knowledge and skills.
Prepared to work as a team member in the best possible manner.
