Job summary

KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital is seeking a Biomedical Technician to develop and manage preventive maintenance for biomedical equipment. You will monitor PPM progress, schedule corrective actions, and oversee spare parts management within a hospital setting.

The role requires 1-2 years in Biomedical Engineering, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office and asset management systems. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years working experience in Biomedical Engineering.
  • Preferably with Hospital/healthcare experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and asset management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a Planned Preventive Maintenance service schedule for biomedical equipment.
  • Monitor the progress of the PPM service schedule.
  • Schedule corrective maintenance for faulty equipment.

Job description

Ensure compliance to the termed Vision and Mission statements, goals, objectives and values of the Company.

To prepare a Planned Preventive Maintenance service schedule for biomedical equipment.

To monitor the progress of the PPM service schedule.

To schedule corrective maintenance service for faulty equipment.

To monitor the changing of spare parts.

To prepare and manage service contracts with vendors.

To oversee the testing and commissioning of new medical equipment and devices.

To develop procedures with regards to communication flow.

To process stock requisition.

Requirements:

At least 1-2 years working experience in the Biomedical Engineering field. Preferably with relevant experience in Hospital/healthcare business or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office) and asset management systems.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
