Job summary

Effective Bond Sdn Bhd is seeking a Barista for Café Kitsuné Subang Jaya to prepare and serve beverages, maintain hygiene and stock, and deliver friendly service at the café outlet. You will combine coffee-making skills with customer care, ensuring brand standards across daily operations.

Requirements include 1–2 years in barista roles, espresso and manual brewing knowledge, and willingness to work shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / high school qualification or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience as a barista or in a similar F&B role.
• Solid knowledge of espresso-based and manual brewing methods.
• Barista certification and/or latte art skills are an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices; a food handling certificate is a plus.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages according to standard recipes.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders and related equipment correctly.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and quality.
• Greet customers politely and take orders accurately.
• Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, machines, tools and workstations.
• Perform daily opening and closing cleaning duties.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups and bar supplies.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishment.
• Report low stock or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Follow recipe standards without deviation unless approved by Supervisor/Manager.
• Immediately report any product quality issues (taste, texture, temperature, presentation).
• Communicate clearly with team members during service to ensure smooth operations.
• Report incidents, mistakes, or operational issues immediately to Supervisor or Manager.
• Escalate unresolved customer issues promptly.
