Job summary

Food Journal Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a friendly beverage professional to manage drinks preparation, maintain bar mise-en-place, and ensure brand standards across all beverage offerings. You will develop new drinks for special occasions, restock and count stock during opening and closing duties, and keep the bar area clean while supporting guests with efficient service.

This role requires basic qualifications, English proficiency, and a team-oriented mindset, with rotational shifts

Qualifications

• SPM/STPM qualification required.
• English language proficiency required.
• Willingness to work on rotational shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Minimize drink ingredients waste and prepare drinks to brand standards.
• Produce and serve drinks according to recipes; maintain bar mise-en-place.
• Restock, stock count, and keep the bar area clean and equipment in good order.
• Develop new drinks for special occasions and assist in smooth restaurant operations.
• Fill-in for colleagues as needed to ensure guest service standards.

Job description

Minimize drinks ingredient wastages which include fruits, soda water and etc.

Produce & serve all drinks to brand standards & recipes.

Responsible with beverage bar mise-en place, restocking and stock counting during opening and closing duties.

Maintain the cleanliness of the work section, tables, restaurant especially bar area, and all equipment used.

To ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any faults as required.

Develop new drinks for special occasions that are suitable for the theme.

Carry out any other reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the restaurant.

Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Position Requirement

• Qualifications: Minimum SPM/ STPM
• Experience: Barista Experience will be added advantage
• Required language(s): English
• Able to work on shifts, weekends and during Public Holidays
• Pleasant personality and team player who is highly independent self-motivated
• Adaptable to change and willing to embrace new ideas and processes
