Job summary

Ruema Awan Nano Kitchen in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a proactive cafe team member to prepare coffee and beverages, handle bread and pastries, and operate the POS system. You will greet customers, take orders, and ensure product presentation meets standards.

The role requires basic coffee knowledge, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, are expected.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent minimum qualification.
• Barista experience is an advantage.
• Fresh school leavers are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge in coffee preparation is an advantage.
• Able to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

• Provide friendly customer service and answer product questions.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as directed by management.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job description

This role involves preparing and serving coffee, non-coffee beverages, matcha, sparkling drinks and water according to set recipes, as well as managing the sale of bread, cakes, pastries and waffles. You will operate the POS system, take customer orders and process payments accurately while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and product presentation.

Key responsibilities

Prepare coffee, non-coffee beverages, matcha, sparkling drinks and regular drinking water according to established recipes

Manage the sale of bread, cakes, pastries and waffles and ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively

Operate the POS system, take customer orders and process payments accurately

Monitor stock levels, product freshness and expiry dates and reduce waste

Ensure cleanliness of the beverage counter, bread and cake display area and waffle preparation area

Provide friendly customer service and answer product-related questions

Perform opening and closing procedures and comply with company SOPs

Carry out other duties as directed by supervisors or management

About you

Minimum qualification of SPM or equivalent

Barista experience is an advantage

School leavers or candidates without experience are welcome to apply if willing to learn

Basic knowledge in coffee preparation and beverage handling is an advantage

Good communication skills and positive attitude

Able to work in a team, handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays according to premises operating schedule
