Qualifications

This role applies advanced barista expertise to support daily café operations, guide baristas and trainees, and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Customer Service

Greet customers courteously and attend to their orders in a timely and professional manner.

Assist customers with menu recommendations, detailed product information, and service-related inquiries.

Handle cashiering duties accurately, including order processing and payment handling.

Front-of-House Operations

Support daily café operations including order taking, food and beverage serving, and table clearing.

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, counter, and front-of-house equipment.

Follow outlet SOPs, service standards, and hygiene requirements at all times.

Team Support

Collaborate with outlet team members to ensure smooth café operations.

Follow work schedules and instructions assigned by supervisors or outlet management.

Guide and support Baristas and Barista Trainees in beverage preparation and service standards.

Beverage Preparation & Bar Operations

Prepare coffee and beverages to a high professional standard, ensuring consistency and quality.

Oversee beverage preparation processes and ensure adherence to café recipes and standards.

Perform basic calibration, equipment checks, and bar setup to support consistent output.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the bar area and equipment.

Compliance & Other Duties

Comply with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.

Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor, Bar Manager, or Outlet Management.

Requirements

Minimum secondary school qualification.

2-3 years of working experience as a Barista in a café or F&B environment. Strong coffee knowledge and hands-on barista skills.

Advanced coffee preparation and beverage-making skills.

Familiar with cashiering and handling of POS systems.

Proficient in operating espresso machines, grinders, and bar equipment, including basic calibration and troubleshooting.

In-depth understanding of menu items, beverage standards, and service procedures.

Ability to guide others on barista techniques and standards.

Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety, and bar cleanliness practices.

Customer-oriented with a positive and friendly attitude.

High attention to product quality and consistency.

Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
