Job summary

GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a passionate Barista to join our Food & Beverage team. You will prepare and serve coffee, beverages and light food while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

No experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. Mont Kiara location preferred; ability to commute to Mont Kiara and willingness to learn are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, beverages and light food items according to SOPs.
• Operate café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure beverages meet quality standards and accuracy of orders.
• Take customer orders and process payments using POS.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of café and preparation areas.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock replenishment and FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Follow all food safety regulations and assist with opening/closing duties.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.

GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our Food & Beverage team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages and light food items while providing excellent customer service and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

No experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages and light food items according to company recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate coffee machines, grinders and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure beverages are prepared consistently to company quality standards.
• Take customer orders and process payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the café, beverage preparation area, equipment and utensils.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks.
• Ensure proper storage and stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles.
• Follow all Food Safety, Hygiene and Health regulations.
• Assist with opening and closing duties of the café.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
