Qra Grocer in Selangor is seeking a skilled baker with a relevant culinary arts qualification to support the production of pastries and bread. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and a keen eye for quality.

This position requires flexibility to work 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced production environment. Benefits include health insurance and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Possess related certificate OR Diploma OR Degree in culinary arts.
• Good knowledge of different types of pastry, bread, dessert and decorating.
• Able to communicate and collaborate in a team.
• Good understanding of food, health, and safety regulations.
• Flexible to work 6 days a week on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily production of bread and/or pastries in accordance with recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistency and quality of baked products to meet brand expectations.
• Assist in maintaining product display to ensure items are well-presented and always appealing.
• Carry out basic quality control to ensure products meet required standards before service.
• Monitor inventory levels and support stock replenishment when required.
• Ensure daily operations adhere to food safety and sanitation policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and baking equipment at all times.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report any issues to the Senior Baker.
• Dispose of spoiled or expired items in accordance with hygiene standards.
• Continuously build culinary knowledge and contribute ideas to improve products and menu offerings.
