Job summary

ZarraZorra Bakery is seeking a Bakery Production Crew to join our production team in Johor Bahru. You will assist with daily bakery production activities, including ingredient preparation, mixing, baking, product handling, packing, stock checking, and maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities include adhering to SOPs, performing quality control checks, and supporting the production team. The role requires physical fitness and a willingness to work on weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Experience in bakery/food production is an advantage, not mandatory.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit and able to perform production duties.
• Hardworking and a positive team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ingredient preparation, mixing, and baking.
• Ensure product handling, packaging, and labeling follow SOPs.
• Maintain food hygiene and safety, FIFO and temperature controls.

ZarraZorra Bakery is looking for a Bakery Production Crew to join our production team.

The crew will assist with daily bakery production activities including ingredient preparation, mixing, baking, product handling, packing, stock checking, cleaning and maintaining food safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

1. Ingredient Preparation and Baking

• Accurately weigh and measure raw ingredients according to standard recipes and required scaling.
• Prepare dough, batter, fillings and basic toppings or decorations.
• Handle and operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, chillers and freezers safely and efficiently.

2. Quality Control and Packaging

• Ensure finished products meet the required standards for taste, texture and appearance.
• Report any defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues to the Supervisor.
• Pack products according to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including cleanliness, proper sealing, product arrangement, labelling and expiry date printing.

3. Food Hygiene and Safety

• Manage the storage of raw materials and finished products according to the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle and proper temperature-control requirements.
• Maintain the cleanliness of work area, equipment, utensils and work uniform in accordance with established hygiene standards.
• Assist in checking daily stock balance and recording the usage of raw materials and packaging materials.

4. Additional Duties

• Record and complete daily checklist, such as work area cleaning checklists.
• Minimise material wastage and record any damaged, rejected or defective products.
• Perform other reasonable bakery production and operational duties assigned by the Production Leader, Supervisor or Management.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Previous experience in bakery, food production, kitchen or F&B operations is an advantage, but not compulsory.
• Passionate about baking and willing to learn.
• Hardworking, responsible and positive team player.
• Physically fit and able to perform production duties.
• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when required according to the production schedule.
