Job summary

VERONA BAKE (M) SDN BHD is seeking a motivated frontline staff to weigh, price, package and process payments for baked goods. You will help manage ingredients inventory, monitor expiry dates, and ensure the counter looks appealing for customers.

Responsibilities include displaying products, reporting low stock to the Baker, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. You will handle customer feedback and assist during busy periods, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM certificate or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Weighing, pricing, and packaging baked goods for sale.
• Managing the bakery ingredients inventory and requesting stock.
• Tracking ingredient expiry dates and using ingredients accordingly.
• Monitoring display of baked goods and ensuring availability.
• Reporting low stock to the Baker promptly.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties as assigned.
• Cleaning the kitchen after business hours for the next day.
• Managing customer complaints and relaying them to the Baker.

Managing customer complaints and relaying them to the Baker.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Work Requirements

Minimum SPM certificate or equivalent.

Previous experience in serving customers in a bakery environment preferred.

Proficiency in weighing, pricing, packaging, and processing payments of baked goods.

Knowledge of food and health industry regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures

Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin. "We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients."
