Job summary

Tropica Beauty Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a backend developer to design, build and improve backend systems and APIs for web and mobile platforms. You will design databases, integrate services, and ensure reliability, security and performance across the stack.

The role requires hands-on experience with server-side languages and database technologies, plus collaboration with frontend and mobile teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience in Backend Development is preferred.
• Good understanding of APIs, databases, server-side programming and system integration.
• Familiarity with backend programming languages/frameworks such as PHP, Laravel, Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.
• Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL or other relational databases is an advantage.
• Understanding of Git/version control and basic deployment processes.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate with a team.

About you
