Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend systems that support the complex functionalities of our jobsite, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.

• Design and optimize databases for high availability, security, and performance, leveraging both relational and NoSQL technologies.

• Implement robust APIs for internal and external use, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and maintainable.

• Collaborate with frontend developers and UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration and user experience.

• Proactively identify and implement performance optimizations and security enhancements.

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for the adoption of new technologies where appropriate.

• Cross-functional: Working and collaborating closely with other departments and projects as needed to ensure all tasks are delivered efficiently and effectively, enhancing overall productivity and project success.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in backend development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating scalable and high-performance applications, including mobile app integrations.

• Deep knowledge of server-side languages (JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJs) and frameworks (NestJs, Kubernetes, Docker).

• Strong experience with RESTful API design and development, specifically tailored for mobile app consumption, including considerations for data optimization and caching.

• Proficiency in database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL) and an understanding of data modeling for scalability and performance.

• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and services Google Cloud Platform) and experience with server architecture and load balancing strategies.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong focus on delivering efficient and scalable backend solutions.

• Effective communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
