Job summary

Ucsi Auto Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Automotive Foreman to oversee day-to-day workshop operations.

You will lead a team of technicians and mechanics, ensuring work meets our quality, safety and efficiency standards while keeping customers informed. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years as an automotive technician with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role, and holds an NVQ/HNC or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification or certification in automotive engineering or equivalent.
• 5–7 years’ experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, with 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Broad knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic techniques.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of automotive technicians and mechanics.
• Ensure repairs and maintenance meet high quality standards and deadlines.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce health and safety protocols.
• Allocate jobs based on skills and workload capacity.
• Train and mentor technicians in best practices and new techniques.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
• Review work orders and service reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify performance issues and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
• Liaise with management and customers on progress and issues.
• Maintain detailed records of completed work and parts usage.
• Ensure safe handling of vehicles and a clean workshop environment.
