Job summary

Ucsi Auto Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled Auto Technician to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, conduct routine maintenance and perform vehicle inspections at our Kuala Lumpur workshop. You will repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical components, and perform welding as needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in automotive technology, mechanical engineering or equivalent trade certification.
• Proven experience working as an automotive technician in a workshop or service centre environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and specialised tools
• Performing routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and tyre rotations
• Conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify wear and damage to components
• Repairing or replacing faulty parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems and electrical components
• Performing welding and fabrication work as required for vehicle repairs and modifications
• Keeping detailed and accurate records of all work completed, parts used and time spent on each vehicle
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and best practices whilst working in the workshop environment
• Collaborating with other technicians and workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely job completion
• Communicating with customers and service advisors regarding repair progress, findings and recommendations

About the role

Ucsi Auto Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician (Auto) to join our team at our Taman Connaught Kuala Lumpur facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of vehicle repair, maintenance and servicing. As an Auto Technician, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every vehicle that leaves our workshop meets our rigorous quality and safety standards. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the reputation of Ucsi Auto Sdn. Bhd.

What you'll be doing

Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and specialised tools

What we're looking for

Relevant qualification in automotive technology, mechanical engineering or equivalent trade certification

Proven experience working as an automotive technician in a workshop or service centre environment

Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools commonly used in automotive repair

Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, including engines, transmission, brakes and suspension

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins and wiring diagrams

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical issues methodically

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship

Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members

Physical fitness and ability to work in varying positions for extended periods

Reliability and a strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines

Valid driving licence is an advantage
