Job summary

Arvion Services in Penang invites an experienced Assistant Manager, Field Operations to oversee automotive field activities across multiple locations. You will manage day-to-day execution, drive service quality, and ensure efficient operations with strong team collaboration.

You will lead Supervisors and frontline teams, monitor KPIs, manage resources, and coordinate with Quality, Spare Parts, Customer Experience, Warranty, and Retail to resolve issues. Travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in automotive, mechanical, or operations management fields.
• 4-6 years of relevant automotive, workshop, field, or high-volume operations experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising teams.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities; proficient with data and reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across automotive facilities and ensure activities meet requirements.
• Lead Supervisors, Team Leaders, and frontline teams to achieve productivity and service targets.
• Review operational performance including turnaround time, productivity, quality, cost, and manpower utilization.
• Identify bottlenecks, recurring issues, and areas of underperformance; implement improvements.
• Ensure workshop and vehicle reconditioning activities meet required quality and safety standards.
• Plan manpower, equipment, tools, and other resources based on business requirements.
• Conduct regular operational reviews, site inspections, and performance checks to maintain standards.
• Collaborate with Quality, Spare Parts, Customer Experience, Warranty, and Retail to resolve issues.
• Support launch, relocation, or expansion of sites by ensuring readiness of teams and processes.
• Coach team members to strengthen operational capabilities and performance.
• Monitor operating costs and identify opportunities to improve resource utilization and efficiency.
• Prepare management updates on operational performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.
• Drive safety culture, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
