Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Automation Solution Designer to collect data, visit sites, and create automation layouts for AGVs, AMRs, 4-way shuttles and tote systems in client warehouses.

You will work with sales and engineering to translate requirements into tailored solutions, present proposals with ROI calculations, and support post‑sale handovers. English and Mandarin proficiency is required; willingness to travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronic, Automation or related field.
• 1–3 years in automation, warehousing or related industries.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; willingness to travel.

• Collect data and design automation layouts for AGVs/AMRs and related systems.
• Develop automation flow to optimize material handling.

Collect necessary data for automation solution design, conduct site visits (if required) to assess customer environments.

Develop automation flow and layout designs based on customer requirements, ensuring optimal material handling efficiency.

Create automation solution for AGVs, AMRs, 4-way shuttles, and tote picking systems, integrating them into existing customer operations.

Work closely with sales teams to understand customer pain points and translate them into tailored automation solutions.

Prepare and present compelling solution proposals, including concept layouts, system architecture, and ROI calculations.

Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and execution teams to ensure solution feasibility and seamless handover post-sale.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in automation technologies and recommend improvements to existing solutions.

Provide technical / product support and address inquiries related to solutions.

Job Requirements

Knowledge of AGV, AMR, 4-way shuttles, tote picking systems, and warehouse automation technologies is a plus.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools for layout and flow design.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop efficient and scalable automation solutions.

Excellent communication and presentation skills and well versed in English and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Willingness to travel for site visits and customer meetings as needed.

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Mechatronic / Automation Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

Preferably with 1-3 years in relevant working experience
