Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager to lead intralogistics and warehouse automation projects, including 4-Way Shuttle, AGV/AMR systems. You will coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning across sites in Malaysia, liaising with engineering, software, and procurement teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years in automation or material handling. Travel to project sites will be frequent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Automation / Industrial Engineering.
• At least 3 years’ experience in automation, robotics, intralogistics, or material handling.
• Experience with AGV/AMR/ASRS/ Shuttle systems preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical and site layouts.
• Basic understanding of automation software systems (WMS/WES/WCS), PLCs, robotics, or industrial networking.
• Experience coordinating site installation and commissioning.
• Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage intralogistics / warehouse automation projects including 4-Way Shuttle (4WS), AGV/AMR systems.
• Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Supervise on-site installation works and system commissioning.
• Liaise with internal engineering, software, and integration teams.
• Coordinate with contractors, installers, and suppliers during project execution.
• Support system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with layout validation and system optimization.
• Conduct SAT/UAT and commissioning verification.
• Provide technical updates and progress reports to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support customer training and project handover.
• Maintain project documentation including installation reports, test records, and commissioning documents.
• Coordinate importation and delivery documentation for automation projects.

Min. 3 years experience in managing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time project completion is a MUST

Execute and coordinate intralogistics / warehouse automation projects including 4-Way Shuttle (4WS), AGV/AMR systems

Coordinate installation, integration, testing, and commissioning activities

Supervise on-site installation works and system commissioning

Liaise with internal engineering, software, and integration teams

Coordinate with contractors, installers, and suppliers during project execution

Support system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting

Assist with layout validation and system optimization

Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT/UAT) and commissioning verification

Provide technical updates and progress reports to customers and internal stakeholders

Support customer training and project handover

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Automation / Industrial Engineering

Min 3 years experience in automation, robotics, intralogistics, or material handling systems

Experience in AGV / AMR / ASRS / Shuttle systems / warehouse automation preferred

Ability to read mechanical layouts and site layouts

Basic understanding of automation systems, including software systems (WMS, WES, WCS), PLC, robotics, or industrial networking

Experience coordinating site installation and commissioning activities

Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills

Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Travel Requirement

Based in Shah Alam, Selangor

Frequent travel to project sites in Johor, Penang, and other locations in Malaysia depending on project stage.
