Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Automation Specialist to support production systems and warehouse automation in Taiping. The role requires handling PLC-based controls, SCADA, ERP, and WMS systems, with emphasis on TPM and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic & Electrical, Mechatronic Instrumentation Control Engineer
• At least 3 years and above in manufacturing industry
• PLC Knowledge System exposure such as SCADA, ERP, WMS, SAP, FMS, BMS; experience in TPM, CM, Budget Analysis from PM

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Automation Manager.
• Escalate unresolved issues and represent the team in management meetings when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, technical, and network issues.
• Provide technical support and training to end users, including proper handover documentation.
• Attend to automation-related machinery breakdowns and perform root cause analysis.
• Monitor Warehouse Management System (WMS) intelligence portal and integration status.
• Oversee sub-systems including Crane, AGV, and Conveyor.
• Monitor CCTV to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Manage production operations and processes within the ASRS warehouse.
• Resolve ERP-WMS integration issues in collaboration with IT.
• Support performance improvement plans related to system integration.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and necessary services, including work on rest days if required.
• Plan preventive maintenance schedules, manage spare parts, and prepare budget reports.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and workplace safety regulations.
• Support item sourcing and purchasing to optimize department budget and spare part ordering efficiency.
• Lead and support improvement projects (Kaizen).
• Train newcomers on host messages, system integration, and WMS-related business processes.
