Job summary

ASMECH Teknologi (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking an Automation Engineer to program automation and controls systems, develop graphical user interfaces for machine control, and collaborate with customers and design engineers on software development for automation machinery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in automated machine software development for PLC, motion control and robotics.
• Experience in PLC logic and programming with Keyence, Mitsubishi, or similar PLCs.
• Strong sense of urgency and proactive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Program automation and controls systems involving PLC for automation machines.
• Develop Graphical User Interface for machine control.
• Liaise with customer, design and Project Engineer for software development of automation machinery.
• Prepare machine I/O, flow chart, data allocation list and software programming.
• Design electrical Schematic wiring diagram according to project requirements.
• Document machine operation manual for automation machinery.

You will be responsible for programming automation and controls systems involving PLC for automation machines, developing Graphical User Interface for machine control, and liaising with customers, design and Project Engineers for software development of automation machinery.

About you

Bachelor's Degree, Post-Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent

Hands-on experience in automated machine software development for PLC, motion control and robotics

Experience in PLC logic and programming with Keyence, Mitsubishi, or similar PLCs

High sense of urgency for tasks assigned

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with positive mindset

Innovative, initiative and independent with desire to drive for excellence
