Job summary

AIM AUTOMATION SOLUTION SDN. BHD. in Johor is seeking a skilled engineer to develop, program and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems for customized automation machines.

The role includes designing HMI interfaces, machine sequences and control logic to meet project requirements. The candidate will configure servo motors, drives and sensors; perform PLC/HMI/motion programming; and collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Production and Project teams through integration and commissioning

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Automation Engineering.
• Experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming platforms used in automation.
• Knowledge of sensors, servo motors, drives and fieldbus systems.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Develop, program and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems for customized automation machines and equipment.

Design and develop HMI interfaces, machine sequences and control logic according to project requirements.

Configure and integrate servo motors, drives, sensors, actuators, safety devices and other automation components.

Perform PLC, HMI and motion control programming, including parameter setup and system configuration.

Integrate control systems with robotics, machine vision, conveyors and other automated equipment.

Support machine wiring verification, I/O checking, testing, debugging and troubleshooting during machine development.

Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Production and Project teams during machine integration and commissioning.

Perform machine cycle optimization and control sequence improvements to achieve required performance and cycle time.

Prepare and maintain PLC programs, HMI programs, I/O lists, control documentation and software backups.

Support machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and customer acceptance activities when required.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in PLC programming, industrial automation or machine control systems is preferred.

Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming platforms commonly used in industrial automation.

Good understanding of sensors, pneumatic systems, servo motors, drives, actuators and industrial control components.

Knowledge of motion control, industrial communication and fieldbus systems such as Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Experience in robot programming, machine vision systems or industrial networking will be an added advantage.

Able to understand electrical drawings, I/O diagrams, machine sequences and control schematics.

Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially during machine testing and debugging.

Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant automation projects, internships or programming experience will be an added advantage.
