Job summary

ImP Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking a junior engineer to support PLC programming, panel wiring, and on-site commissioning. You will work with experienced engineers on real-world automation projects and develop hands-on skills across sensors, motors, and VFDs.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. The role involves travel within Malaysia and occasional overseas, with a collaborative, team-driven environment and mentorship from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related engineering field.
• Basic understanding of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley preferred, Siemens/Omron an advantage).
• Familiarity with industrial automation components (sensors, actuators, motors, VFDs, safety devices).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/Electrical CAD for panel design and wiring diagrams.
• Exposure to industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus) is a plus.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and support commissioning activities.
• Willingness to work hands-on with control panels, wiring, and equipment setup.
• Basic understanding of safety standards is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Good communication skills (English, Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus).
• Team player with ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and customers.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in fast-paced project environments.

What we're looking for:

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related engineering field.

Technical Knowledge
