We are seeking a driven, resourceful, and self-motivated Automation Engineer (PLC & SCADA) with a strong can-do attitude and a high degree of accountability. In this role, you won't just write code behind a desk; you will take full ownership of projects from design, PLC/SCADA programming, and panel/field wiring through to site commissioning and client handover. If you are an engineer who takes pride in building a system from scratch, solving on-site challenges independently, and seeing a plant run smoothly because of your work, we want to hear from you.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-End Project Execution: Independently lead, execute, and deliver automation projects on time, managing the system lifecycle from software development to on-site testing and commissioning.
- PLC & SCADA Development: Program, configure, and troubleshoot control logic, alarms, trending, and communication drivers for industrial control systems.
- Hands-On Field & Electrical Work: Perform on-site control panel checks, loop checks, I/O testing, and hands-on termination of wiring, signal cables, and communication interfaces.
- Site Commissioning & Testing: Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) independently at customer sites.
- Continuous Learning & Problem Solving: Rapidly adapt to new software platforms, client requirements, and technical architectures with minimal supervision.
About you
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, SCADA development, and site commissioning.
- Hands-on proficiency in Mitsubishi (GX Works 2/3) and/or Omron (CX-Programmer, Sysmac Studio).
- Proven experience in configuring and developing interfaces using Citect, Wonderware (AVEVA InTouch / System Platform), or InduSoft Web Studio (AVEVA Edge) or Industrial SCADA systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical control schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), and field instrumentation.
- Practical, hands-on competence in terminating electrical wiring, signal cables, and industrial communication lines (RS485/Modbus, Ethernet, etc.).
- Positive, proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
- Ability and willingness to take full ownership and complete projects independently.
- Valid driving license, own transport, and willingness to travel outstation/to customer sites for site visits and commissioning deployments.
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience in full LSS SCADA systems / solar monitoring & PPC is strongly desired.
- Competitive Basic Salary (commensurate with technical competence and independent capability).
- Site commissioning allowances & travel claims.
- Specialized allowance for qualified LSS SCADA expertise.
- Performance bonuses and project delivery incentives.
- Exposure to advanced industrial software, renewable energy infrastructure, and smart factory technologies.
